The non-profit organization, whose head office is located at 1523 avenue Lajoie, in Outremont (Qc), Canada, H2V 1R2, incorporated in Canada under no. 12066513 Canada Association, represented by Mr. Alain BRUNET; hereinafter referred to as the Reconsolidation Therapy International Association or "RTIA", or alternatively "the Provider", ON THE ONE PART, AND: (i) any person who has subscribed to this contract by making the payment considered as received, (ii) any person who has been allowed by special permission to attend the training for free as an observer, hereinafter "the Client"; ON THE OTHER PART. RTIA and the Client are hereinafter individually referred to as a "Party" and collectively as the "Parties".
1. Presentation of RTIA. RTIA conducts activities in Canada and abroad, providing services to professional mental health clients in the areas of counseling and the application of psychotherapy methods, particularly the "Brunet Method™" also known as "Reconsolidation Therapy™" as defined below. (Hereinafter referred to as "the Services").
2. Presentation of the Brunet Method™. Developed by Alain Brunet since 2003, it has been the subject of several scientific publications. Consultants Alain Brunet and Associates (CABA Inc.), and later RTIA, have worked on it, tested it, and made it increasingly effective, with a success rate of 70% in cases of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) encountered and treated. The method is based on recent neuroscience discoveries about memory function. Reconsolidation Therapy™ is a simple, fast, and effective method for helping victims of psychological trauma. Accompanied by the administration of a reconsolidation blocker (such as propranolol), the Brunet Method™, developed in Canada by researcher Alain Brunet and his team (see Brunet et al. 2008, 2018), gradually and sustainably reduces the emotional burden of traumatic memories.
3. Reminder of the many years of work and investments to develop the Brunet Method™. The Parties acknowledge that the Provider and its representative have made significant investments since 2003 in the development of the Brunet Method™ through a research program involving a large number of patients. The Client recognizes the intellectual property and significant economic value of the Brunet Method™ and, consequently, the importance of keeping it confidential, and agrees not to disclose it.
4. Presentation of the Website. RTIA has developed several websites, this on is currently located at https://training.reconsolidationtherapy-institute.com,
which describes the Brunet Method™, provides information on various topics, including the Services (hereinafter "the Site"). By participating in the Training, as defined and described in Article 1.2(a), the Client also benefits from the Services related to the Training, as defined and described in 1.2(b) below.
5. Prerequisites for Training. By signing this contract, the Client acknowledges that they are a mental health professional practicing psychotherapy, legally authorized to practice their profession in their country and locality, or that they are “observers” who will not practice Reconsolidation Therapy. The clients are solely responsible for this declaration and must be able to justify it upon request of the Provider. "Mental health professional" particularly refers to psychiatrists and residents, psychotherapists, and psychologists. Physicians, psychoanalysts, sexologists, life coaches, social workers, psychiatric nurses, and others professionals may also be eligible to take the training based on documented relevant professional experience, or according to the good judgment of the Provider or their representative, which the Client acknowledges.
6. Disclaimer. The Client is a mental health professional authorized to practice, which the Client acknowledges. They are therefore informed of the risks and services to be performed before any treatment, the respect of the patient, and this, to minimize the risks of using a method that may not be appropriate for the patient.
7. Context. In this context, and to the extent that the Client accepts the entirety of this contract, the Parties have come together so that the Client can benefit from the Training and the Services related to the Training. (Hereinafter the "Service Contract").
By paying via the Web Site any deposit for the price of the Services, or by signing this contract, the Client acknowledges that they have been duly informed of the following elements and Services, allowing them to determine:
1° The nature, duration, program, and purpose of the training actions they plan, as well as the personnel involved;
2° The level of knowledge required to follow the training and obtain the qualifications for which it prepares, i.e., being a mental health professional authorized to practice psychotherapy in accordance with the laws of their place of practice;
3° The conditions under which the training is provided, specified in this contract;
4° The trainer's areas of expertise, including stress and trauma-related disorders, the assessment and treatment of these disorders, peritraumatic reactions, early intervention, neurobiological correlates, and the psychophysiology of stress and trauma-related disorders, and the blocking of reconsolidation;
5° The payment methods and the financial conditions provided in case of early termination of the training or abandonment during the course, which are detailed in the annex of the Service Contract;
6° The terms of these presents as well as the terms of the Internal Regulations, attached in the annex, with full knowledge.

The collaboration between RTIA and the Client using the Brunet Method™, the Training, the Materials, the Services related to the Training, and/or any information provided by the Provider does not constitute a partnership of any kind between them. RTIA is an independent service provider to the Client, and the relationship established by this contract is free of any hierarchical relationship. Nothing in the Service Contract shall confer upon the Provider the status of an employee or agent of the Client. The Parties specify that under no circumstances do they intend to enter into an employment contract or create any subordination relationship between them.
By paying the price and following the Training, the Client is authorized to use, on a non-exclusive basis, the Brunet Method™ and its Materials, for personal and individual use, excluding any legal entity, and solely in their office and at the address of the same. The Client must follow the Brunet Method™ without any modification, addition, or deletion, taking into account the prescriptions specific to each patient, which they must identify as a mental health treatment professional. No adaptation or modification of the Brunet Method™, its Materials, or other related elements may be made by the Client without the prior written consent of the legal representative of the Provider, prohibitions accepted by the Client by participating in the Training and using the Services related to the Training.
By paying the price, the Client acknowledges never having, to their knowledge, used or implemented a method like the Brunet Method™ with this recognized effectiveness. They thus acknowledge that the Brunet Method™, its Materials, and other information they become aware of during the Training or through any service of the Provider are novel and that any method that draws from or imitates it would necessarily use the Provider's investments, the content of publications that remain the result of the Provider's investments. The Client therefore agrees not to attempt to circumvent, use any or all of the Brunet Method™ in any way, directly or indirectly (to any degree, if one or more persons are involved), which is an essential condition of this contract, without which the Provider would not have entered into it. They already agree to compensate the Provider in the event of a violation of this article and the stipulations of this contract.
To the extent that the Client is a professional in the treatment of mental health, as acknowledged above, the Service Contract takes effect on the date of signature of these presents, for a duration corresponding to the duration of the chosen training.
RTIA will receive a total and lump sum for remote training of 1700 Australian dollars on the date of conclusion of this contract "Standard Payment Terms for Training in the Brunet Method" (hereinafter referred to as the "Price"). The prices include all taxes, where applicable, and are subject to change without notice.
It is agreed between the Parties that, normally, the Client will pay the Price by credit card or another electronic payment method. The Client may have the cost of their training covered by their employer (training agreement). In the event of non-payment by the Client of any amount due on the Price, without just cause, the amount payable to the Provider will be increased by an interest rate equal to 10 times the legal rate per month of delay, and the Provider may, after a formal notice to comply sent to the Client and remaining ineffective for a period of fifteen (15) days from its receipt by the Client:
